Its about time for another board review so once again, we enlisted the help of My Mum to focus her highly tuned eye on Heathen Skateboards new Stagman Deck. Some of my favourite things in life are purple including Ribena and my helmet, so I have nothing but high hopes for this board which is available at all good skateshops and probably a few bad ones right this second.
Over to My Mum:
*I hand her the board*
Well thats very unusual isnt it? When i saw it I thought “Oohh, a nice red board…”
*My Mum’s highly trained eye is looking at the top. I tell her to turn it over and look at the bottom*
Oooh look at that. On the bottom there’s a… I’m not quite sure how to describe it… erm…There’s a stag’s head with a man’s body…
*momentary pause *
Hmmm… Very unusual…
*I think she needs a bit of encouragement so ask “Do you like it?”*
It’s not what I expected…
*Is it better?*
I thought there might be a bit more colour on it, different colours, but having said that the contrast is really nice with the black and the purple.I can’t quite see the significance of the stags head on the mans body… Although it does say Heathen Stagman so that might be the reason why…but it looks quite cool.
The antlers could be a bit bigger, I think, on the top but it looks quite good. I think its quite good, quite a nice picture.
*At this point, My Dad, peers up from the telly to have a look and offers the following comment on it*

Hhhmmmmmm. I wouldn’t no, I’d say they’re all the same, cause I dont want to upset anyone and say that ones nicer than the other one cause they’re all nice in their own way.
It’s very funky and a bit surprising…
Yes, I’m not sure that I’d want it on my wall and it does remind me of a bottle of whiskey but that might be the stags head and Scotland but yes, it’s good.
